Monday Marvels

So as the semester (quickly) approaches an end, the assignments in all of the classes seem to get more intense, and all the projects seem to have the same deadline. Me, being the procrsatinator that I am, am not a fan of this particular time in the semester. I have been swamped with readings (extra loooong ones, might I add), doing projects, writing papers, and doing research for a huge final paper due in three weeks...okay so I've been doing all of those things except maybe the last one...but you get the point. Anyway, because of this sudden increase in school work, I haven't really found the time to surf the web and find things that I am marvelling over...but I did want to take the time to post about one special marvel of mine that didn't require surfing the web to find...

and that is my beautiful Mom. :)

This weekend my mom came into town to get her hair-cut by my aunt Sabrina. When my dad text me and told me she was coming, I right away got excited. I love my mom so much and I think the world of her. She is an amazing mother, wife, aunt, sister, and daughter. She carries so much weight on her shoulders and constantly has a full plate. I have so much respect for her and appreciate everything that she does for me and our family.

I was especially excited to see my mom this weekend because I know she has been stressed with work and feeling overwhelmed at times. I wanted her to be able to relax and have fun as she got away from the hysteria for a couple of days. On Saturday, I got up early and went and met her at my aunt's house. We spent the day stopping in some shops throughout the mall, trying tons of outfits on, searching for shoes, and ofcourse making a few purchases here and there. I love going shopping with my mom, becuase it seems like right when my body is about to drop, so is my mom's. We both love shopping, but we both know when it's time to leave! After the mall, we freshened up, picked up my aunt, and met E at Bravo for a delicious Italian dinner! The service was questionable and awkard, but the food was soooo tasty that I can't really complain.

After dinner, the girls went back to my aunt's house for drinks and music. I haven't had this much fun with my mom in I dont know how long. We all had a blast! My mom has such a fun, outgoing personality. She is the definiton of the ''life of the party.'' She loves music and definitely knows how to have a good time! Music brings her so much joy. She carries around a massive cd case with all of her favorite songs. She is the ultimate DJ and knows how to get any party started! lol I love this about her. We took silly pictures, chit-chatted, watched music videos, drank margaritas, had a halloween-costume photo shoot, and laughed. We laughed so hard our stomachs hurt and our make-up was running down our faces. It was simply the best.

All in all, I had an amazing night spent with two very special people. I am so happy that me and my mom got to spend this time together, and for a moment she didn't have to worry about the stresses in her life right now.

So today. On this Monday...I'm currently marvelling over my amazing mother.
I can only hope to one day be atleast half the woman she is.
